How to get Started?

The first step to building your dream cabinet is to look at the many forums, ask many questions of the thousands of people who started out in the same way as you,and I and above all try to be original. If its hardware you are looking for a good place to start is ebay, ebay has a section devoted to arcade cabinets, monitors, game pcb's and loads of other stuff - Its a great place to start.

"Mameworld" is the place to go for links to all kinds of other sites which will all provide information on how to acheive gaming nirvana!! Make it your Hompage!

Which Frontend?

The frontend I use fro my cabinet is the fantastic "MameWah", this the program that binds all the emulators together and hides the Windows environment of the PC within my cabinet . It provides a polished and proffesional looking finishing touch to your machine. There are alternatives, but in my opinion - MameWah rocks!!

MameWah

MameWah is also fully customizable, place your own touch on the greatest frontend available. There are many sites devoted to MameWah skins. Two of the best are - J C Rouse's CP Viewer site and Stuzza's Screenshot archive, both have links opposite.
